Giantslayer

Hi, my name is Reggie
People love my Buns
The session began with the group questioning the slaves(from Shinnerman’s fortune) they just rescued. They learned that another group of giants took a group of slaves and traveled ahead. They aren’t sure if Alderman Tarram Shinnerman is with the group. They doubted there would be any survivors in that group. They also learned that there is a giant cathedral they called Tinderhall, which you realized she meant Minderhall. None could remember the giant leaders name. p. p. While they camped for the night a friendly halfling approached the group. He introduced himself as Reggie Roundbuns. Upon learning that your party was heading into Minderhalls Valley he asked to join you. He was here on a task for some powerful wizard from Magnimar. He was collecting various spell ingredients from magical beasts known to be in the area. He promised and later proved to be very good to have on your side in a fight. And he made the most amazing roundbuns which sealed the deal. Truly Reggie was a friendly funloving sort all groups could use.p. With their new buddy in tow the group headed into Minderhalls valley. With Reggies guidance they found several amazing magical creatures and harvested the needed ingredients. They fought perytons, leucrottas, An ettin with a cave bear, several of a strange breed of giants called Veds. The most impressive creature they found was a giant chimera with the head of a black dragon. Sadly they weren’t the only ones with there eyes on the chimera. As they were finishing up they were attacked by a hill giant named Kragmuld and a few veds. Kragmuld was a very difficult foe but like all others fell before Blazemores party(lol). p. Having collected all of the ingredients he needed, Reggie would be teleported back home shortly but he wanted to reward you with some information he had acquired. He took them to the shore or a river/lake and (after taking out a few more giants). Reggie told them that there was a temple at the bottom of this lake, and he believes there is something hidden there. He overheard some giants talking about a temple at the bottom of the lake that may have something the big boss needs. With that Reggie went home telling you all that if you ever make it to Magnimar to look him up and promised you the greatest party of your life and 5 gold each.p. This session you will be getting some answers pertaining to what you need do and where you need to go. Does the forge exist, what is the name of that giant slaver and exactly how many giants are, in this valley and many other questions will be answered in Minderhalls valley.

See you all at my house Saturday at 430. It should be very fun.

A jaunt in the mountains
There may be scarring
The session began with the return of Skamp and Kan(Y)e. With a surprise companion an old “friend” of Kanes called “Forge” a distracted genius half elf who was a master smith. Kane brought him with the lure of a legendary forge. He is a nice enough fellow and is willing to share his extracts but usually forgets to offer them up. Forge has very little interest in taking part in combat. So he is with you but if you need to talk to him but remains distant unless approached. p. The journey to Minderhals valley was expected to be a very dangerous road, it didn’t disappoint. The heroes fought off a rift drake, a redcap ambush and a greater earth elemental before noon on the second day of travel. At that time they came upon a greater troll trying to break into a house to get at a crying baby within. Naturally our heroes would have none of it and quickly dispatched the foul beast. Now they had a young baby as a burden. Thankfully they came upon a village shortly after and the baby’s grandmother was able to take care of the child. p. The village had been attacked by a band of giants (mostly ogres) and several villager were captured. The villagers begged the party to try and save their kinfolk from the giants. The village had many injured and several damaged houses. The remaining villagers would be needed to help tend to the wounded and rebuild. The situation was so dire that Onteross decided his services would be more helpful in helping the desperate villagers. He had faith the party could save the captured towns folk from slavery or worse. He wished you well and hopes to you in the future. p. Onteross’ faith was rewarded when the party saved a pair of escaped slaves from a nasty jotunblood cyclops named Gsuruk. It was a tough battle but Gsuruk fell as all foes had fallen before him. The hunt continued. The session ended with the slaughter of a small band of ogres and the free of several more villagers. They said there was one more band of giants went on ahead, but they had no doubt those captured were beyond help now. we can begin this weekends session with you asking the freed villagers any questions you may have. p. I know this was a short writeup but most of the session was wandering monsters fun to fight but not advancing the story. I’m very excited for this Saturday, I hope you’re ready because there is more fighting in the forecast. There may even be an extra member of the party if Andys friend Mark chooses to join us. See you all Saturday at 430 at Joes.

Putting the betrayer to sleep.....
Permanently
We began with our heroes in the city of Vigil. Warning the leaders of the capitol of Lastwall, that Trunau had survived a brutal assault and Most importantly an army of giants was forming in the Mindspin mountains. They were rewarded with some gold a nice suit of armor. They met the Onteross a cleric of Iomedae a student of tactics, warfare and lover of tales of adventure. Who after hearing your tales offered to accompany you on your trip to find and disrupt the forming of the giant army, you accepted. He has surely taught you much about the importance of tactics and how teamwork can be the difference between success and failure. Lastly he is from a very wealthy family and some seems to have very high quality food for everyone for every meal so you are all eating so well that when you rest you heal 2hp/level as long as he’s traveling with you. p. Next you made your way back home to Trunau to report your findings. Upon hearing the news Halgra asks you do anything you can to disrupt the forming of the giant army and save the entire region from certain doom. Having nothing better to do you agreed to go. You also had a map leading to the tomb of the giantslayer Nargrym Steelhand which was on the way.

Tomb of Nargrym Steelhand,

Upon approaching the tomb you were set upon by spiders, ettercaps, Stilgrit the mother of spiders a strange spider dwarf hybrid. All fell before you. You made your way to Nargryms tomb only to be locked in the tomb by Lokmorr the betrayer. Who was cursed by the deity Torag to never die (unless killed) and remain in a cage overlooking the tomb of Nargrym the hero he had murdered. But over the last 684 years he had managed to squeeze his way out even deforming himself to do so. He then desecrated Nargryms body and the rest of the tomb as well. But the betrayer met his end at your hands freeing the many treasures of the tomb. A legendary spear Heartspit armor made from giant fingernails and Nargryms steel hand. All went to Blazemore the leader (or at least poster child) of the new giantslayers.

p. This is where we left off and you will be heading to the area where the giant army is supposed to be. The journey will take about three days and there will be many chances for random encounter along your journey so be ready for some outdoor activities. See all of you on Saturday.

Well that went quick.
To Trunau and beyond!
Our intrepid heroes were all together again for the assault on Redlake fort. WIth good scouting and “everything just coming together” they were able to take out Grenseldek the hill giant leader of the Twisted heart tribe. A tribe of hill giants and orcs is a rare occurrence. But she was able to get them to work together and nearly defeated Trunau. She wanted the second part of a geode map, she had the first and figured out where the second would be. Other than her foolish attempt to court Volstus the Storm tyrant, she was pretty clever for a hill giant. p. The party found Umlo Nargrymkin, Ingrahilds brother first thing and instead of thelling the party to rescue him he sent them to the half orc oracle and the orc leaders unwilling concubine. She had predicted their arrival and hoped for a chance to meet them, hoping they would take her from this place she detested. If they took the fort down with them, it didn’t matter to her. When the party sought her out she told them she could get them past the first level of the fort if they could convince General Karguk to let them pass by offering to do him a favor. Taking out Grenseldek might do the trick. She was right and They convinced Karguk that they would kill Grenseldek and leave her treasure behind. Sure they would. p. Having learned about a sewer entrance they skipped passed nearly all of the forts defenders they found a ring on a dead body with the Blix family seal on it that Calrianne Blix would be interested in. They did have to defeat Gutterunch a disgusting ogre sorcerer and his two pregnant ogre assistants after walking in on them trying to talk to the non skull bones of the forts former castellan Tamand Varias. The party found his skull elsewhere. The fight wasn’t difficult and it alerted a few ogres bust torturing an orc just outside. At this point the sound of orcs and ogres fighting elsewhere in the fort could be heard. That was all it took to get to Grenseldeks chamber where after taking a few hard hits Grenseldek and her two pet wolves were no more. p. In Grenseldeks treasure they found the second half of the geode map leading to the tomb of Nargrym Steelhand(you found the first part in Uskroths tomb in Trunau. Nargrym is a great hero of Umlo and Ingrahilds clan. They beg to join you on our expedition to the tomb. Droja is also willing to accompany you if you will have her. This can be decided when we play. p. You learned the location of a valley in the Mindspin mountains where the storm tyrant is amassing an army of giants so large it will threaten not only Belkzen but all the other nations in the region. Sharing this information could be worth a reward. A trip to Vigil (the capital of Lastwall) would be a two day delay but would give you access to a semi large city. This might be your last chance to do this. You have some information they need to know and they could probably send out word to any other large cities in the region. p. The last session ended with the party in the forts chapel of Iomedae where they met the ghost of Fabian Blix, Calriannes great grandfather. He told them some of the forts history. Like how he was the first one cannibalized when Tamind Varias turned to cannibalism to feed the fort. He told them the ring they found on the skeleton in the sewers should be given to his ancestor if possible. By placing the skull and skeleton of Tamind Varias on the alter and destroying it they put Fabian Blix to rest. At this moment the holy symbol in the temple glowed brightly and appeared cleaner and in better condition and radiated a more powerful but unrecognizable magic. Droja thinks only a priest of Iomedae could unleash its magic. Probably very valuable to such a person. p. This is where we left off. You can be in the chapel, on the ship sailing home, With Calrianne Blix, at the fork in the river where you would leave the boat for the two day trip two Vigil or all the way back in Trunau. You can decide on Saturday. p. See you Saturday at Joes, If you have any questions let me know.

Part 8
The vault of thorns and approaching Red lake fort.
The session began with Skamp rejoining her comrades as they entered the greenhouse where they were attacked by an enormous tendriculos. They were able to dispatch the creature without anyone being swallowed. In the next room they were able to bravely overcome numerous xtabays. p. In the final room they were in for a tooth and nail battle with a creature called a brambleblight. The brambleblight had the power to animate the bramble mounds in the room into a wall of defenders which our heroes were eventually able to fight off. With all pf its defenders defeated the bramblelound was heroically vanquished. p. While they were healing they were attacked by Ewigga the green hag attacked them in on final attempt to acquire the vaults treasure. She had a few tricks but was easily overcome after foolishly giving the party enough time to fully heal. Ewiggas defeat left the vaults treasures there for the taking. Our heroes were momentarily fearful that the treasure was all a lie when the treasure chest was empty. Eventually they found a secret bottom that led to the actual vault. They found a nice stash of items that will hopefully aid them in their assault/infiltration of Redlake fort. p. After a few days travel the party was approaching the fort when they were attacked by a scouting patrol of a hill giant named Jort and several orcs. You were able to defeat the patrol and capture one of the orcs for interrogation. You learned a few pieces of information.

1, The forts morale has been quickly deteriorating since the orcs defeat at Trunau, and their leader Grenseldeks proposed alliance with someone or something called the Storm Tyrant.

2, The orcs leader General Karrguk was already planning to turn on the forts other inhabitants and take leadership of the tribe back from the giants.

3, There is a captured dwarf that the tribe uses for entertainment by having him fight some captured bears. He tells you where in the fort the dwarf is being held.

4, There is a tribe of ogres that was already in the fort before the Twisted heart arrived.

You may or may not recall that when you rescued Calrianne Blix, the cavalier whose grandfather Fabian Blix was killed at the final siege of the fort. She’s desires any information about her ancestor. She fears he was as bad as the forts original castellan a despicable vile man who resorted cannibalism. She will be thrilled if you can provide her with any information. She also provided you with a map of the fort, its not very detailed but does have the basic layout anf the location of a sewer grate in the fort that can be used to enter the basement. I will draw this map and give it to you Saturday.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you Saturday at 5pm at Joe’s.

Part 7
Ghostlightlight marsh/Vault of thorns
After recovering from the extremely tough battle with Melira and Tark Singeskin the party headed into the Ghostlight marsh in search of the Vault of thorn. They defeated a 5 headed hydra. Found a dwarf named Ingrahild Nargrymkin that they recognized was suffering from schizophrenia, they were able to get her under control and cure her of her malady with a potion of remove curse. She told them that her brother Umlo and her were attacked by several green hags that cursed them and drove them off, but not before they killed three of the hags. p. Ingrahild led them to Mossmoon a former member of the council of thorns that was turned into a will-o-wisp. By showing Mossmoon the ghostlight lantern, mentioning Silvermane and that they were searching the vault of thorns so they can assault Redlake fort. Mossmoon led them to a will-o-wisp graveyard where they got the husk they needed to light the lantern and open the entrance to the Vault. They were attacked by a marsh giant named Gripwort as they opened the vault but they were able to defeat it. p. In the entryway (joined by Ingrahild) they killed a pair of tiny fey creatures called twigjacks. A pair of lurkers in light as they crossed a bridge in the greenhouse. On the other side of the bridge they entered the council chambers they were entangled and their vision was impaired by an unseen attacker (most likely the final hag) but for some reason they weren’t attacked. Remember there is still lurking behind you. p. Next they came upon the lily pad path several large lily pads at different heights leading up. Below it fades into darkness and there in a droning buzz reverberating throughout the chamber. When Pigpen leaped upon the first lily pad a cloud of bloated flies filled the entire chamber and a ultramarine chaser(fey giant dragonfly) attacked the party members in the room.. When Thornbeard leaped onto the first lily pad his weight caused the pad to fall to the bottom of the chamber. and into the filthy compost like bottom of the chamber. They were able to overcome the obstacles in the chamber and the session ended in the room on the other side of the disgusting chamber. p. We will start right where we left off. If you have any questions let me know and I’ll answer as best I can. There is some fun stuff coming up. Always remember that there are multiple ways to get through situations. Four (5 if you allow Ingrahild to stick with you) people isn’t many fort assaulting a fort.

See you all Saturday

Part 5 and 6
Into the cave and what more can they possibly expect

Part 5

The intrepid heroes bravely followed the mysterious half orc with facial tattoos and his flood troll servant. Just after entering the cave the party was beset by enemies from both sides a rat swarm from the rear and a combination of gryphs and spiders from the front. All was going smoothly until two characters got too close together causing a piece of the bridge to crumble away taking Kane with it. Falling twenty feet into some shallow water and found himself face to face with the flood troll. Thing could have gotten bad for him but the flames of his bravery still burned brightly. Also his friend Blazemore kept the fires burning brightly by jumping to his aid. Together they were able to defeat Lehi the flood troll. The remaining members were able to easily dispatch the spiders and gryphs. p. Shortly afterwards they came to a chamber with a 15 foot tall skeleton of Uskarth a hill giant chieftain of some renown. They noticed the half orc fleeing out the opposite side of the room. They decided to investigate the skeleton and as they did they were surprised by a dire shadow rat that was hiding in one his eyes. They were attacked by Skreed Gorewillow the half orc alchemist from the other side (he went to awaken the chambers guardian to join him) and his two direwolves. It was a tough battle but the heroes were able to defeat their foes. After the battle they find Uskarths armor, Agrimmosh the hammer of unmaking, a true love locket and a magnificent geode they later learned was half of a map. p. Afterwards they they were congratulated and invited to a meeting/dinner with chief defender Halgra in two days time. At the meeting theylearned that this attack was arranged by a hill giant named Grenseldek leader of the Twisted heart tribe (a tribe of hill giants and orcs). The leaders of the town fear that if something isn’t done the town may be attacked again and they barely survived this first assault. Someone would have to go to Grenseldeks lair (Redlake fort) and deal with her and her tribe. Putting an end to this threat to Trunau. p. Based on their actions in the attack on Trunau the Party was deemed the best suited to this task. Since the citizenry and militia would be needed to rebuild and defend the town. After the party agrees he introduces them to Silvermane the druid (they save him during the battle) that watches over the hopespring. He tells them of the Vault of thorns a demiplane created by the druidic council of thorns, of which he Silvermane was once a member. The entrance to the vault is in the Ghostlight marsh, he informs them that the vault contains item that will help them in there fight against the twisted heart tribe. To find the vault he tells them where to exit the river and gives them a ghostlight lantern and tells them to place the husk of a dead will-o-wisp into the lantern and then shine it on the central standing stone (of a circle of stones that mark the entrance to the vault). Halgra informs them that she has already hired them working passage with a half orc friend of hers named Raag Bloodtusk. p. On their river voyage Kane fell overboard and was attacked by crocodiles when the railing gave way. PART 6 begins here- They saved several crew members from a rampaging girallon(that is usually drugged). This was the second mysterious “accident” of their trip. (They would later learn of their mistake in not searching the entire ship for the saboteur). They survived an attempted poisoning. a damn made by a group of merrow even capsizing their boat when Thornbeard enlarged himself thinking the boat would make it to shore but the merrow stopped the boat and at approximately 2000 pound the boat went over. Making for a tough but memorable battle. Next they came upon some river drake they were able to overcome. They even chased the alpha into its lair to rescue one of the boats horses. p. The next day they arrived at scheduled stop at a riverside waystation. As they approached they noticed the dock had been destroyed. Raag told the party this was a new that the dock had been in perfect condition when he was last here 2 weeks previously. He told them they should investigate which they did. They rescued Calrianne Blix a cavalier by defeating a couple wolves and several orcs. Calrianne was very grateful and they all learned that the orcs were planning an assault on castle Firrine. After the party informs her of their plan to infiltrate Redlake fort she grows excited and produces a map of the abandoned border fort. She tells them that her great grandfather Fabian Blix and would be very interested in learning anything she can about him if they find any information. She also reluctantly tells them she is worried about what kind of a man he was, fearing that he was a truly as despicable as the rumors she had heard. She rewards them with a hosemasters saddle. p. The final event of the evening occurred when they finally reached the exit point Silvermane told them about. There was a band of orcs waiting to sabotage the party having been informed of their coming by Melira, Skreed Gorewillows lover and carrier of the other half of the true love amulet. Having not found her hiding on the ship she was able to join the ambush which nearly put an end to our intrepid heroes. Surviving a battle with ranger/sorcerer 6/1 and a level 6 barbarian was very impressive and required a hand from Raag and Coxwain Halrex. Even with this help Thornbeard and Flapjack nearly died indded everyone was surprised that Flapjacks wasn’t dead after the battle. This was where we left off so we will begin here, you can spend some time healing on the boat before you travel forward. p. If you would prefer a different type of npc thats fine at the moment it would probably have to be a half orc but hey can be any class you want. Otherwise I will have Flapjack ready. Do let me know if you want something different. Also during this session you will go up to level 5 mid session. You never know sometimes you can meet friends in the most unusual places if you remember to look. See you Saturday.

Defending Trunau
Is he dead?
Our heroes completed many heroic tasks in defense of Trunau. They saved a traveling salesman from being robbed and likely killed at the hands of Urnsul the former emplyee of Sara the blacksmith. They found and rescued local celebrity Silvermane the druid. reviving him and getting him back to the safety of the healers. Next they helped Omast Frum become sober and fend off several waves of enemies trying to get into the upper section of the town. p. They were finally able to make it into the lower city and get the final beacon lit. On there way they learned of a group of orc firing a catapult into the town and doing a lot of damage. They rushed through the towns gates and quickly dispatched the band and were able to disable the catapult. As the finished a towns person ran up to them and informed them that a group of orcs with a chained up cave giant that they were using to pound a hole through what they though was a natural stone wall adjacent to the Hopespring. By the time they arrived the giant had already pounded through the wall opening a cave entrance none in the town knew existed. An orc and a flood troll had already entered. p. Because of their many heroic deeds many live were saved there were more people to help defend Trunau and there were less orcs to help control the giant and keep the humans out of the tunnel. Indeed there were so few left the giant and all of the remaining orcs fell with relative ease. Now the cave entrance lies open before you. Also there are a few questions that would need to be answered. Who was the orc that went in with the flood troll, how did they know this cave existed. What was inside the cave and why did the orcs go to such great lengths to get to it. p. These questions and probably a few more will be answered this Saturday. If you have any questions let me know I like answering them here for permanent documentation. See you Saturday you will most likely make level four sometime during the night so feel free to be ready for that.

Welcome back to Trunau
Rough night
As the party returned and noticed the blue flames in the plague houses firepit. They entered determined to find out what was going on. Alas by the time they got to the basement whoever was meeting there had fled. They found a local pig farmer tied up in the furnace room and he informed them that he had heard his captor speaking to something in a language that he didn’t understand. The left determined to return the following night to catch their prey in the act. p. The next morning Kurst Grath came to them in the morning and asked them to attend his brother Rodriks funeral at sunset that evening at the flame of the fallen. They agreed and waited for the funeral that night, Planning to return to the plaguehouse afterwards. When the ceremony (which was lovely), everyone was gathered chatting when the quiet night was interrupted by the crash of flaming catapult fire. Trunau was under attack. Kurst asked the party to light the three remaining unlit beacons. Telling them saving the citizens was more important than the killing of the orc. Send any townsfolk to the longhouse. p. The party didn’t make it far when the saw a group of townsfolk led by Baseil Sabak a cleric from the counting house(temple of Abadar) threatening Brinya Rodriks fiance. Threatening her due to her half orc heritage. Fighting for the real Trunauans. Our heroes attempts to calm the mob with words failed and things would have went badly if chief defender Halgra hadn’t shown up and calmed the mob, disappointed in the party for letting this mob get out of hand. “You’ll have to do better if we’re all going to survive this”. They lit the second beacon and headed for the gate that led to the next beacon. (FYI- Rodriks pyre is the first beacon). p. As they approached the gate they heard the sound of a flaming boulder crashing through the roof of a house on just the other side of the gate. They could hear someone in the flaming house calling for help and rushed to do so. Inside they found Sara Morninghawk trapped under a broken beam and her wife Agrit Staginsdar trying to free her. Kane, Blazemore and Thornbeard fought through thick smoke to help free Sara and were eventually able to do so. During that period two orcs ran up to attack whoever was nearby and were put down by Pigpen and Scamp. They wouldn’t be the only orcs they would kill this night. Agrit rewarded them with a silver necklace center by a first level pearl of power. p. They were able to kill many other this evening most notably the skald Kagak and his bombardierskeeping them away from their ballista. They were also able to save the proprietor of the Killin’ Ground Rabus Clarenston who promised them free ale forever and gave them some medical supplies including two vials of soothe syrup which you may want to look up. I believe it’s helpful in curing addiction etc. p. Other than that it was just an orc trainer and several orcs looting in some houses. Most importantly they saw a force with siege weapons outside the city that would need to be stopped if they were to win this battle. But our heroes still need to light the last beacon and get out the front gate to get at their most dangerous foes.

The after party was killer
I didn't think....
The hopeknife ceremony for Ruby daughter of Halgra finally came and a good time was had by all. Although Ruby may have shown a lack of wisdom in her selection for the ceremonial tug-of-war. Choosing Blazemore and Thornbeard were solid choices but Pigpen and Rey aren’t naturals at tug-of-wars. But it was all for fun and the Kurst brothers weren’t trying to win and the crowd rushed in to make sure they didn’t this was Rubys big night and there was no way she was going to lose. Then then the Festivities went on until late in the evening. The party did hear a few rumors.

1, The hopeknife is more than a weapon- It’s a symbol. It means you are wise enough to make adult decisions, know what it means to fear, and strong enough to protect your neighbors, even if it costs you your life.
p. 2, “Even though she’s the chief defenders daughter, Ruby has to uphold the Standing Vow in order to receive her hopeknife., just like the rest of us. She must agree to hold Trunau against all comers and to never forfeit her homeland willingly. That is the vow”.
p. 3,“Rumor has is that Rodrik Grath is next in line for the position patrol leader after his old man Jagrin retires. Jagrins a good commander but he’s getting old, and it may be time for some new blood in the militia’s leadership.”
p. 4, “Shame about the graffiti all over town. The militia’s got better things to do than clean up youngsters’ messes, but even stranger is how long it lasts. Try as one might soap and water don’t do a thing to those marks!”.

The next morning the group was approached first thing by Kurst Grath and informed than his brother Rodrik had been found dead "right now the official cause of death is suicide, but I just can’t believe that. He asks if the group will lead the investigation, since he is to busy to do it himself. When they agree he tells them.

His brother wouldn’t have committed suicide because he was in love with the Brinya and was planning to marry her. When the party met Brinya(that evening) they show her the hopeknife given to them by Kurt she informs them that isn’t Rodriks hopeknife. She shows them his hopeknife is hanging on a silver necklace around her neck. She tells them Rodrik lost the hopeknife she had given him. The party later finds the receipt for a new hopeknife and the missing hopeknife proving she was telling the truth. She informs them Rodrik kept a journal and tells them to ask at the sanctuary.
p. Where they learn Rodrik had been spending a lot of time talking with a old half orc seer named Katrezra, who disappeared the night of the murder but they don’t suspect foul play. They also reason he couldn’t have gone far due to limited mobility.
p. They asked around at the Ramblehouse where the Murder occurred. They found the receipt for the hopeknife and in another room they later learned the proprietress had rented to a half orc who paid handsomely but refused to leave a name(they had to coerce this out of her). They found a love letter to someone named Melira.
p. When they went to Clamor to speak with Sara Morninghawk to verify the receipt and find the knife. When the show Sara the murder weapon she informs them that this is the knife she had her employee Urnsil another half orc working on but Urnsil disappeared since the day before(the day after Ruby’s ceremony). During the conversation Katrezra appears from a side room where he was listening in on them. He had Rodriks journal and went into hiding when he heard of Rodriks murder fearing foul play. He had been having visions of the plague house recently. Rodrik went there which is where he saw the flood troll which led him to talking to Katrezra about. He told them they are native of Belkzen but rarely head this far south of the flood road. Katrezra gives them the journal which proves Rodriks death wasn’t a suicide.
p. This took two days of investigation and the party was attacked by "diseased wolves in the street and were nearly killed when they were attacked in their room by a group of assassins. They were nearly all killed but these assassins weren’t very brave.
p. They brought the Journal to Kurst informing him his brother was murdered. Kurst suggested they investigate the plaguehouse and they did. This is where they found the lost knife and fought some centipedes and some spider one that was pretty large they found the stairs down they assumed beyond a locked door. There was also a hole in the floor that could reach the basement 20 feet below. It was getting late so the went back to town to report to Kurst and get some sleep.
p. The next day they went with Thornbeard to his home to(?) But they did run into an ogre and several orcs with a captured woolly triceratops. The party rescued the beast and it became Thornbeards companion. (Depending on what Damon decides to do for a character you may be meeting up with him and bringing him back with you). Either way by the time they are approaching Trunau the sun has set and they notice there appears to be a blue fire in the firepit outside of the plaguehouse.

This is where we will pick up, sorry if this isn’t very smooth, trying to remember all of the different parts of your investigation without making it too long was a challenge.
